The WPNA is not a homeowner's association. Membership is
voluntary as is payment of annual membership dues ($20
per family). Membership is made of residents and
homeowners who want to preserve the unique features of
Walnut Place: a diverse single-family residential
neighborhood that enjoys a high quality of life.
What Has WPNA Done for Members?
Here are some of the issues that the WPNA has helped
with in the last 12 years.

pushed for Travis County to install truck control
circles, "No Trucks" signage on Springdale Road, and
speed bumps on Sansom
- Served as the point of contact for
the neighborhood during construction of the Manor
Expressway, pushing for completion of the Tuscany
Way extensions, north and south, to alleviate
traffic on Springdale
- Monitors and advocates roadway
improvements that impace WP including Arterial A
and North Walnut Creek Trail Phase 111B
FLOOD CONTROL
- Worked
with Travis County to purchase lots bordering Walnut
Creek mitigating erosion and flooding hazards

fire substation from placement in WP
- Helped to
remove several group homes including some registered
sex offenders
